When a student scans their fingerprint at the school gate at 7:45 AM, the primary purpose is attendance. But the record created serves a second, equally important function: it proves the student arrived at school that morning.
In a manual system, if a student arrives at school and then goes missing before the first lesson, there is no accurate record that they were ever on campus.
